Contest Rules & Regulations
Contestants must be 21 years of age or older.
Contestants must present themselves in a professional manner.
A W-9 is required to have on file for any monies awarded.
The use of marijuana or any other illegal substance during the pageant or while representing the pagenat is not permitted and could result in disqualification from the pageant, and/or title stripped.
Contestants must be able to fulfill any and all duties of the title.
The stealing of, or the intentional destruction, to any contestants property is not tolerated. Such acts render immediate disqualification with no reimbursement of any fees paid.
All contestants for the Mr. California EOY competition must be presenting or identify as male and over the age of 21 (unless otherwise stipulated by their respective state's laws). All contestants for the F.I. California EOY competition must be male and over the age of 21 (unless otherwise stipulated by their respective state's laws).
The Entertainer of the Year system does not discriminate against an entertainer with silicone or hormones, nor a competitor's ability to compete in an EOY segment after they may have completed sexual reassignment surgery.
Entry fees are non-refundable after 24 hours of acceptance and payment to contest.
Any contestant that is not at the appointed place at the appointed time may be disqualified with no refund entry fee.
All music must be submitted with the contestants name and category via thumb drive or email 24 hours prior to contest.
Judging will be on the total accumulated points system. The answering of questions by the person involved will break ties.
Contestants will be judged in the following categories: On Stage question, Presentation, Creative Evening Wear and Talent. Swimwear category is only for Mr. Entertainer of the Year.
Any type of talent is acceptable, except those that are illegal or which might cause personal injury to the audience or any other person.
Talent will be limited to total of seven (7) minutes. Prop set up and break down time will be limited to total five (5) minutes. Talent presentations may be timed. However, it should be kept in mind with set up props the total allotted time is 12 minutes for set-up, talent, and break down. Contestants are encouraged to keep actual talents under 7 minutes.
The presentation category is limited to three (3) minutes. There is no prop set up or break down time in this category.
Contest is not responsible for transporting any dancers you add to your talent for Nationals.
Any persons holding the title of "California Entertainer of the Year" will not be allowed to compete or hold any other titles until their duties have been completed.
Any persons crowned "California Entertainer of the Year", who decide not to go to National EOY will be required to return all awards and monies received, including but not lmited to all travel and expenses to Nationals (if they have already been purchased). You also forfeit your title and crown.
Admission fee is $150, and is payable only through Venmo or Zelle after accepted to contest.
Prize packages are awarded in segments. 1/3 of prize given the night of competition, 1/3 of prize given the night of nationals, remaining 1/3 prize given the night of step-down. If you are not able to fulfill your duties you will forfeit any remaining prize monies, and possibly have to return any monies given, depending on situation.
